Community Use

The Edgar Centre has many spaces and types of equipment available to groups and casual users.

The 21 sports courts can be used for traditional games as well as activities such as skills development, exercise, training, club use, birthday parties, etc. As well as the sports courts, the Edgar Centre has four rooms of various sizes that clubs and organisations can use for passive activities.

A variety of community groups already use the Edgar Centre. So whatever your group’s recreational needs the Edgar Centre can cater for a wide-range of active and passive activities.

Keep an eye on this website as staff are continually developing the types of activities occurring at the Centre as well as increasing the range of equipment available for use.

Please phone the Edgar Centre to discuss one-off or regular use of the venue and to check the availability of equipment if you require it.

Some of the community activities for 2009 include:

  • KeenAgers casual use sessions aimed at the 60+
  • Kids Castle and Coffee
